Every member chooses a page link such as webweb.ai/@yourname. The rules are modelled on how new domain extensions protect names during their sunrise period:
- A link has 5 to 20 letters or numbers. Links created before this rule keep working.
- Some names are protected and cannot be registered on a first-come basis: names of countries, states and cities; generic words for an industry, trade or public service (for example "bank", "hotel" or "hospital"); names of governments, regulators and public institutions; well-known brands; and WEBWEB's own names.
- Links must not impersonate another person, business or authority, mislead people about who you are, or be used to squat on a name for resale.
How to claim a protected name. If a protected name is your registered business name, your registered trademark or the name of the institution you officially represent, write to support@skyq.in from the mobile number or email on your account, with the name you want and proof such as: GST registration or certificate of incorporation, Udyam or Shop Act registration, a trademark registration or application, or an authorisation letter on the institution's letterhead, together with an ID proof of the person applying. We verify the documents, may ask for more, and tell you the decision in writing. A claim is approved only where the name matches the registered name and the applicant is authorised to use it. Generic words and place names are normally released only to the authority they belong to. Documents are used only for this check and handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may change or reclaim a link that breaks these rules, was obtained on wrong information, or has been inactive for a long period, after giving notice where we can.
