WEBWEB AI
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Your trust is the basis of a business network. This policy explains in plain language what personal data WEBWEB AI collects, why, who can see it, and how you stay in control.
1. Who we are
WEBWEB AI ("WEBWEB", "we", "us") is an open business network for India, operated by SkyQ. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
Contact for anything in this policy: support@skyq.in.
2. What we collect
- Sign-in details: your 10-digit mobile number or email address, and the one-time code (OTP) we send to verify it. OTPs are stored only as a one-way hash and expire in 5 minutes.
- Profile you create: name, business or company name, handle, category, location, bio, products and services, skills, experience, education, profile photo and cover image, and an optional GSTIN.
- Content you post: Asks, Updates, images, documents, replies, responses to Asks, referrals you make (name, mobile number and note of another person), and the service areas you draw on the map.
- Messages and calls: chat messages, attachments, reactions and delivery/read receipts. Voice calls are peer-to-peer; we carry only the signalling data needed to connect them and a log line (duration) in the chat.
- Technical data: push-notification subscription details if you turn notifications on, your language and theme choice, and standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and fault-finding.
3. Why we use it
We process your data only for these purposes, each of which you ask for when you use the feature:
- to create and secure your account and sign you in;
- to show your public business page and the Asks and Updates you choose to publish;
- to match Asks with nearby members and relevant businesses, including by an AI model that runs on our own servers (we do not send your Ask text to any third-party AI provider);
- to deliver messages, calls, notifications and alerts;
- to verify your profile (for example GSTIN checks) and show verification badges;
- to prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents, and to comply with law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising.
4. What other people can see
- Public: your handle, name, business, category, location, bio, photo, catalog, verification badges, the GSTIN of a business that has added one (it is public record on the GST portal) and your Asks and Updates are visible to anyone, including search engines, on your public page.
- Mobile number: shown only in masked form (for example +91 98••••••10) on your public page. We reveal contact details only when you choose to share them, for example by responding to an Ask with your contact or approving a request to reveal it.
- Chats: visible only to you and the other person in the conversation. Chats are not end-to-end encrypted; they are protected in transit and are accessible to us only as described in section 8.
Please do not post information you are not comfortable making public.
5. Contacts of other people
If you refer or share another person's name and mobile number (for example on an Ask), you confirm that they have agreed to be shared or that you are entitled to share it. The number is shown only to the owner of that Ask. If your details were shared this way and you want them removed, write to support@skyq.in.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: until you delete your account.
- Updates (stories) disappear from view after 24 hours.
- OTP codes: deleted on use or expiry (10 minutes).
- Server logs and security records: retained for the period required by law (currently at least 180 days for certain logs under CERT-In directions), then deleted.
- Data we must keep to meet a legal obligation, or to deal with a dispute, is kept only as long as that need lasts.
8. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) in transit, encrypted-in-transit database connections, hashed OTPs, rate limits on sign-in, access controls and restricted server access. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct or update your data (most of it can be edited in your profile);
- ask us to erase your data, and delete your account;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what happened before you withdrew);
- get your grievance addressed, and nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to;
- complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve your grievance.
To use any of these, email support@skyq.in from the email address or write to us about the mobile number on your account. We respond within the time the law prescribes (we aim for 7 days; never more than 30).
10. Children
WEBWEB is for business use by people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or process their personal data. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us at support@skyq.in and we will remove the account.
12. Where data is stored
Your data is stored on cloud servers operated for us by our hosting provider. We will not transfer personal data to any country the Government of India has restricted by notification under the DPDP Act.
13. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, our Grievance Officer can be reached at:
Grievance Officer, SkyQ (WEBWEB AI)
Email: support@skyq.in
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our Terms & Conditions.
